Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 3. The key word yusra means with ease. Many scholars say this ayah means ships gliding over the sea. A ship floats because it pushes aside enough water to balance its weight. Allah made water and air work together so ships can carry people and goods.
Fact: Why does a steel ship float while a steel nail sinks?
Ages 5–8: Clay boat. Shape play dough into a ball and then a boat. Which one floats?
Ages 9–12: Cargo test. Load a plastic tub boat with marbles one by one and record when it tips.
Finish with: "I found that a ship floats because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice one thing that is easy for me and thank Allah for it."
Action: Thank Allah for one easy thing.
