4-I guide
This ayah explains that the earth will speak because its Lord has commanded it to.
Start with bismillah.
Drop a ball, a book and a feather. Ask: "Why does everything fall down? Has the ball ever decided to fall up?"
Watch the NASA eClips video about gravity in space.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why will the earth tell its news?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does the earth obey Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zalzalah is surah 99. Find ayah 5. The key word awha means that Allah inspired or commanded it. Everything in creation obeys Allah's command.
Fact: How fast does the Earth travel around the Sun?
Ages 5–8: Orbit game. One child is the sun, standing still. Another is the Earth, walking around in a circle while slowly spinning. How many spins in one circle?
Ages 9–12: Gravity test. Drop two balls of different weights from the same height at the same time. Which lands first? Find out why.
Finish with: "I found that the Earth goes around the Sun at about ___ km a second."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will obey Allah quickly when it's time to ___."
Action: Keep your plan, and do it as soon as you're asked.
