Start with bismillah.

A gentle note for parents: this ayah is a serious warning. Keep the focus on Allah's fairness and on our own choices, not on other people.

Spin around three times, then point to where you think the front door is. Ask: "How could you find the right way without guessing?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who does this ayah warn?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be sure my heart is pointing towards Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Bayyinah is surah 98. Find ayah 6. Read ayah 6 and ayah 7 together. One describes the worst choice and one the finest. Only Allah knows people's hearts, so we never decide who is who.

Fact: What are the two ends of a magnet called, and what happens when two matching ends meet?

Ages 5–8: Magnet test. Use a fridge magnet to find out which things at home it pulls. Sort them into "yes" and "no".

Ages 9–12: Push and pull. Hold two magnets end to end, then flip one. Draw what happens each time, and find out why the Earth itself acts like a giant magnet.

Finish with: "I found that two matching ends of a magnet ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it fair that Allah warns people before?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why should we never call another person "bad" in our hearts?
• What is like a compass for us, pointing to what's right?
• What dua can we make for people who don't know Allah yet?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will make dua for guidance for ___, and for myself too."

• Show someone at home the push-and-pull magnet trick.
• When you feel lost about what to do, stop and ask: which way does Allah love?
• Next time: the next ayah (98:7) describes the finest of creation. Explore it together!
