4-I guide
This ayah describes a servant of Allah who was praying when someone tried to stop him.
Start with bismillah.
Stand by a window at three different times today and notice where the sun is. Ask: "Does the sun move, or do we?"
Watch the Miacademy video that explains what causes day and night.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What was the servant of Allah doing?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do we know when it's time to pray?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Alaq is surah 96. Find ayah 10. Look for the word "servant" (in Arabic, 'abd) in the translation. Being Allah's servant is an honour.
Fact: How long does the Earth take to spin around once?
Ages 5–8: Torch and ball. In a dark room, shine a torch on a ball and turn it slowly. Where is it day, and where is it night?
Ages 9–12: Look up today's prayer times for your town. Plot them on a 24-hour clock and see how they follow the sun.
Finish with: "I found that day and night happen because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will get ready for ___ prayer five minutes early."
Action: Keep your early-prayer plan and notice how calm it feels.
