4-I guide
This ayah repeats the promise: truly, with hardship comes ease.
Start with bismillah.
Show a pencil lead and a shiny ring or glass bead. Ask: "Would you believe the pencil lead and a diamond are made of the same stuff?"
Watch the American Museum of Natural History video about how diamonds form deep in the Earth.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why do you think Allah says this promise twice?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can hard things make something beautiful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Sharh is surah 94. Find ayah 6. Put your finger on ayah 5 and ayah 6. They are almost exactly the same! Many scholars say that saying it twice makes the promise even stronger.
Fact: How deep under the ground do diamonds form?
Ages 5–8: Squeeze test. Squash a ball of play dough with your hand, then under a pile of books overnight. How did the pressure change it?
Ages 9–12: Pressure facts. Find out how hot and how heavy the pressure is where diamonds form. Compare it with the pressure at the bottom of a swimming pool.
Finish with: "I found that diamonds form ___ km below the ground."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when something is hard, I will remember: with hardship comes ease, and I will ___."
Action: Write the promise on a card and keep it in your bag.
