4-I guide
A short ayah full of hope about hard times, and the ease that Allah sends with them.
Start with bismillah.
Give each child a jar with a tight lid, or a string with a knot in it. Ask them to open it. Then ask: "How did it feel while it was hard? And when it finally opened?"
Watch the short time-lapse video of caterpillars changing into butterflies. Do you think it is easy for the butterfly to come out?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah promise us?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does the caterpillar know a butterfly is coming?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Sharh (also called Al-Inshirah) is surah 94. Find ayah 5, then look at ayah 6. What do you notice?
Fact: How long does a butterfly stay inside its chrysalis before it comes out?
Ages 5–8: Draw a four-box comic: egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly. In which box do you think life is hardest? In which box is it easiest?
Ages 9–12: Interview someone in your family: "Tell me about a hard time, and what made it easier." Write three sentences. Did the ease come after the hard time, or even during it?
Finish with: "I found that ___ was hard, and ___ made it easier."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when something feels hard, I will ___ (where?) and ask ___ for help."
Action: Practise your plan whenever something feels hard this week.
