4-I guide
This ayah swears by the day when it appears in its brightness.
Start with bismillah.
Open the curtains wide. Ask: "How does the room change when daylight pours in? How do you feel?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video that explains why the sky is blue.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the day do in this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why isn't the sky white like sunlight?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Layl is surah 92. Find ayah 2. Read ayat 1 and 2 together. What pair do you notice?
Fact: What colours are hidden inside white sunlight?
Ages 5–8: Sky colours. Look at the sky in the morning, at midday and at sunset. Colour three circles to match.
Ages 9–12: Make a sky in a glass. Shine a torch through a glass of water with a few drops of milk. Look from the side, then from the end. What colours do you see?
Finish with: "I found that the sky looks blue because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use the morning light to ___."
Action: Thank Allah when you open the curtains each morning.

Never look straight at the sun.
