Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who does not ask to be excused?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do true believers want to help?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 44. The sincere companions were eager to join, even when it was hard. They didn't look for ways out. Allah knows who is truly mindful of Him.

Fact: The story of the poor companions who wept because they had no mount to ride to Tabuk (9:92).

Ages 5–8: Ready helper. Say 'I'll do it!' the next time help is needed.

Ages 9–12: Eager. Write what makes someone eager to do good.

Finish with: "True believers do not ask to be ___."

Talk together:

• Who doesn't ask to be excused?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why are they eager?
• When can you be an eager helper?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say yes quickly when asked to help."

• Believers are eager.
• Be a ready helper.
• Allah knows the mindful.
