Ask: "How do we know what Allah is like?"

Listen together as Raad Al-Kurdi recites ayat 30–35 of At-Tawbah, a short clip shared by Dar PDFs.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two people were called sons of Allah?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can't Allah have a son?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 30. Some people in the past claimed Allah had a son. The Qur'an corrects this: Allah is One and has no children. Muslims love and respect Prophet 'Isa as a great messenger. We explain our belief kindly and respect people of other faiths.

Fact: Find Al-Ikhlas 112:3: He does not give birth, nor was He born.

Ages 5–8: Al-Ikhlas. Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and say what it teaches.

Ages 9–12: 'Isa in Islam. Write three things Muslims believe about Prophet 'Isa.

Finish with: "Al-Ikhlas says Allah does not give birth nor was He ___."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What do Muslims believe about 'Isa?
• How can we explain our beliefs kindly?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas."

• Allah is One.
• Recite Al-Ikhlas.
• Respect others kindly.
• Next time: the next ayah (9:31) says Allah alone should be worshipped. Explore it together!
