4-I guide
This ayah says: return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing to Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you feel when you come home after a long trip?"
Watch the Cornell Lab video of the bar-tailed godwit's incredible journey home.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where is the peaceful soul invited to go?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What will it be like to return to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fajr is surah 89. Find ayah 28. Look for the key words radiyah (pleased) and mardiyyah (pleasing). The soul is pleased with Allah, and Allah is pleased with it.
Fact: How far does a bar-tailed godwit fly without stopping?
Ages 5–8: Coming home. Draw your favourite way to arrive home: who greets you, and how do you feel?
Ages 9–12: Godwit journey. Trace the godwit's route from Alaska to New Zealand on a map. How many days does it fly?
Finish with: "I found that a godwit flies about ___ km without stopping."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do ___ hoping Allah is pleased with me."
Action: Do your plan and make a dua that Allah accepts it.
