4-I guide
This ayah says: except for whoever turns away and refuses to believe.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever closed your ears when someone was trying to tell you something?"
Watch the New Scientist video of touch-me-not plants folding their leaves when touched.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do some people do in this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do some hearts close up?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ghashiyah is surah 88. Find ayah 23. Look for the two actions: tawalla (turned away) and kafar (disbelieved).
Fact: How does the touch-me-not plant fold its leaves so fast?
Ages 5–8: Open and close. Make a paper flower that opens and closes. When do people "close up"?
Ages 9–12: Open heart. Write three things that help a person stay open to good advice.
Finish with: "I found that the touch-me-not closes its leaves because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I'm given good advice, I will stay open and ___."
Action: Listen to advice without "closing up".
