4-I guide
Surah Al-A'la opens by telling us to glorify the name of our Lord, the Most High.
Start with bismillah.
Listen carefully outside early in the morning. Ask: "Which creatures are making sounds as the day begins?"
Watch the MonkeyWorld video of siamang gibbons singing their morning duet.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whose name are we told to glorify?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does it mean that Allah is the Most High?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'la is surah 87, and it has nineteen ayat. Find ayah 1. The surah is named after the key word al-a'la: the Most High, above everything. To glorify (sabbih) means to declare that Allah is free of every fault and flaw.
Fact: Why do gibbons sing in the morning, and how far can their songs travel?
Ages 5–8: Morning sound map. Sit outside or by a window for five minutes and draw every sound you hear.
Ages 9–12: Throat sac. Find out how a siamang's throat sac makes its voice so loud. Draw and explain it.
Finish with: "I found that siamangs sing because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say subhanAllah when I first wake up."
Action: Say subhanAllah when you first wake up.
