Start with bismillah.

Ask: "If you could see the whole Earth at once, what would you look for first?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What belongs to Allah? What does He witness?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can Allah see everything at once?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Buruj is surah 85. Find ayah 9. The key word mulk means kingdom or ownership: all of the skies and the Earth are His. Look for the word shahid at the end: Allah witnesses everything.

Ages 5–8: Earth from above. Draw what you think the Earth looks like from space at night. Add the lights of cities.

Ages 9–12: Orbit count. Find out how many times the space station goes around the Earth each day. How many sunrises do astronauts see?

Finish with: "I found that the space station goes around the Earth ___ times a day."

Talk together:

• Astronauts see a lot from space, but not everything. Who sees everything?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• If everything belongs to Allah, how should we treat the Earth?
• How does it feel to know Allah witnesses the good you do?
• What part of the Earth would you love to see?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will look after one part of Allah's Earth (pick up litter, save water)."

• Do your Earth-care deed.
• Show someone your Earth-at-night drawing.
• Spot the space station passing over (look up its times online with an adult).
• Next time: the next ayah (85:10) is about those who harm believers and don't repent. Explore it together!
