4-I guide
This ayah speaks of the time when the earth will be stretched out flat.
Start with bismillah.
Smooth out a crumpled sheet of paper on the table. Ask: "What happened to all the bumps?"
Watch the Everything Explained video about Salar de Uyuni, the biggest mirror on Earth.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will happen to the earth?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What will happen to the mountains?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Inshiqaq is surah 84. Find ayah 3. The key word muddat means stretched out. On that Day, the earth will be spread flat, with nothing to hide behind.
Fact: How did Salar de Uyuni become so flat?
Ages 5–8: Salt crystals. With an adult, dissolve salt in warm water. Leave it in a shallow dish in the sun for a few days. What's left?
Ages 9–12: Flat world. Find out how scientists use Salar de Uyuni to check satellites. Why is its flatness so useful?
Finish with: "I found that Salar de Uyuni is flat because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do nothing I'd want to hide."
Action: Do nothing you'd want to hide.
