4-I guide
The sky listens to its Lord and obeys, as it must.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Does the sea ever forget to come in and go out again?"
Watch the NOAA SciJinks video "What Causes Tides?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the sky do when its Lord commands?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does everything in creation obey Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Inshiqaq is surah 84. Find ayah 2. The key words adhinat li-rabbiha mean it listens to its Lord, obeying. The sky, the sea and the Moon all follow Allah's command.
Fact: How many times a day does the tide come in and go out?
Ages 5–8: Tide chart. Look up the tide times for a nearby beach for one week. Draw high and low tide each day.
Ages 9–12: Moon and tides. Find out why there are two high tides a day. Draw the Moon pulling the oceans.
Finish with: "I found that tides happen because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen the first time I am asked to do something good."
Action: Listen the first time you are asked to do something good.
