Yet they had not been sent to be guardians over the believers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Whose job is it to look after what you do: yours, or someone else's?"
Watch the short video of guard bees at the hive entrance.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What had these people not been sent to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why should we look after our own deeds first?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 33. The key word hafizin means guardians, watchers. The mockers acted as if their job was to judge the believers, but it wasn't.
Fact: What does a guard bee do, and how does it know who belongs to the hive?
Ages 5–8: My job, your job. Make two lists: "My jobs" and "Not my jobs". Talk about which is which.
Ages 9–12: Bee jobs. Find out the different jobs a honeybee does during its life.
Finish with: "I found that guard bees check ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will work on myself instead of pointing at others."
Action: Work on yourself instead of pointing at others.
