4-I guide
But the record of the righteous is kept in 'Illiyyin.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's the highest a bird can fly?"
Watch the Creature Claws video about the bar-headed goose, which flies over the Himalayas.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where is the record of the righteous kept?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is 'Illiyyin?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 18. The key word 'illiyyin is part of the unseen. Many scholars explain it as a high, honoured place where the records of good people are kept. Compare it with Sijjin in ayah 7!
Fact: How high can bar-headed geese fly, and how do they breathe up there?
Ages 5–8: High and low. Draw a picture with two halves: something very high and something very low. Write 'Illiyyin and Sijjin.
Ages 9–12: High flyers. Find the three highest-flying birds. How do their bodies cope with thin air?
Finish with: "I found that bar-headed geese fly as high as ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will add one special good deed to my record every day."
Action: Add one special good deed to your record every day.
