4-I guide
On that Day there will be woe for those who denied the truth.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If scientists warned that a volcano might erupt, what would you do?"
Watch the NBC News Learn video "Can We Predict Volcanic Eruptions?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is warned in this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would anyone ignore a warning?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 10. The key word al-mukadhdhibin means the deniers, those who called the truth a lie. This same warning appears many times in Surah Al-Mursalat.
Fact: What signs do scientists watch for before a volcano erupts?
Ages 5–8: Warning signs. Make a list of warning signs around your home (hot, slippery, stop). What do they protect us from?
Ages 9–12: Volcano watch. Find out three tools scientists use to watch volcanoes. What does each measure?
Finish with: "I found that before an eruption, scientists look for ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen to one warning straight away."
Action: Listen to one warning straight away.
