4-I guide
In this ayah Allah points us to the dawn, the quiet moment when night gives way to morning.
Start with bismillah.
Close the curtains and switch off the lights. Then open the curtains very, very slowly (or turn up a torch bit by bit). Ask: "Does the night turn into morning all at once, or little by little?"
Watch the short video of a sunrise seen from the space station, high above the Earth. Where does the light appear first?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is this ayah asking us to notice?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who switches on the morning every day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Takwir is surah 81. Find ayah 18, and look at ayah 17 just before it. What is each one about?
Fact: What time is Fajr tomorrow where you live, and what time is sunrise?
Use a prayer timetable. How many minutes are there between them?
Ages 5–8: Dawn colours. On one morning, look out of the window three times: at Fajr, a little later, and at sunrise. Colour three boxes with the colours of the sky you see.
Ages 9–12: Dawn log. Write the time you first see light in the sky, the time you hear the first bird, and the time of sunrise. Compare with the timetable. What changed first?
Finish with: "I found that the sky changes from ___ to ___ before the sun appears."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "Tomorrow, when I wake up, I will ___ before ___, with ___."
Action: Practise your morning plan for one week.

If you step outside before sunrise, an adult comes along.
