Then Allah causes him to die and gives him a resting place in the grave.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: this ayah talks about death. Keep it short and calm, and read ayah 22 together straight after.
Collect a few autumn leaves. Ask: "What happens to leaves after they fall?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video "Why Do Leaves Change Colors in the Fall?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah do at the end of each life?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What happens after we die?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah 'Abasa is surah 80. Find ayah 21. The key words amatahu fa-aqbarah mean He causes him to die and places him in a grave. Even this is part of Allah's care: giving each person a resting place.
