So Musa (peace be upon him) showed him the great sign.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's the most amazing thing you've ever seen in the sky?"
Watch the ABC Australia video about how rainbows form.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Musa show Pharaoh?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What was the great sign?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nazi'at is surah 79. Find ayah 20. The key words al-ayah al-kubra mean the great sign. Scholars explain that it was a miracle Allah gave Musa, which other surahs describe. Allah also fills the world with everyday signs, like rainbows.
Fact: Why does a rainbow appear when the sun shines through rain?
Ages 5–8: Make a rainbow. Stand with your back to the sun and spray a fine mist of water. Can you see colours?
Ages 9–12: Miracle stories. Find another surah that tells about Musa's signs. What were they?
Finish with: "I found that rainbows form when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice one sign of Allah each day and write it down."
Action: Notice one sign of Allah each day and write it down.
