4-I guide
Nor will they be given permission to offer excuses.
Start with bismillah.
Walk across some damp sand or mud. Ask: "Can anyone tell where you've been?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video Animal Track Detective!
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will they not be allowed to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why won't excuses work on that Day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 36. The key word ya'tadhirun means to make excuses. Like footprints in mud, every deed leaves a track. On that Day the record is clear, so excuses will not help.
Fact: How can trackers tell which animal made a footprint?
Ages 5–8: Track maker. Press a toy animal's feet into play dough. Can your family guess which animal it is?
Ages 9–12: Track guide. Draw the tracks of five animals that live near you.
Finish with: "I found that trackers can tell animals apart by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I get something wrong, I will own up without an excuse."
Action: This week, when you get something wrong, own up without an excuse.
