4-I guide
They say: we are mindful of our Lord and of a stern, hard Day.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does your body do when you feel scared?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video The Science of Being Scared.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are the righteous mindful of?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Can a little fear be good for us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 10. The key words 'abusan qamtarira describe a stern, very hard Day. Being mindful of that Day is what made the righteous kind and generous.
Fact: What part of the brain helps us notice danger?
Ages 5–8: Calm breathing. Breathe in for four counts and out for four. How do you feel after five breaths?
Ages 9–12: Helpful fear. List three times a little fear keeps us safe.
Finish with: "I found that the part of the brain that notices danger is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I feel worried, I will breathe slowly and make dua."
Action: This week, when you feel worried, breathe slowly and make dua.
