4-I guide
They ask, as if doubting: when is this Day of Resurrection?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can scientists tell us exactly when the next earthquake will happen?"
Watch the MinuteEarth video Why Earthquakes Are So Hard To Predict. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question do they ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't Allah tell us the date?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qiyamah is surah 75. Find ayah 6. The key word ayyana means "when?" They asked to mock, not to learn. Only Allah knows the time of that Day. Even earthquakes, which are tiny compared to it, cannot be predicted.
Fact: What do seismographs record, and why can't they predict earthquakes?
Ages 5–8: Shake table. Build a tower of blocks on a tray. Shake the tray gently. Which towers stand?
Ages 9–12: Ready kit. Make a list for a family emergency bag. Why is being ready better than knowing the date?
Finish with: "I found that seismographs record ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will not put off one good deed until later."
Action: Not put off one good deed until later.
