They will say: we were not among those who prayed.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do every single day without fail?"
Watch the Twinkl video Daily Routines for Kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is their first answer?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is salah the first thing mentioned?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muddaththir is surah 74. Find ayah 43. The key words lam naku minal-musallin mean we were not of those who prayed. Salah is the first thing they mention. It is a daily habit that keeps us close to Allah.
Fact: How many times a day do Muslims pray, and roughly when?
Ages 5–8: Salah clock. Draw a clock and mark the five prayer times today.
Ages 9–12: Routine chart. Make a chart of your day. Where do the five prayers fit?
Finish with: "I found that the five prayers are at ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will pray each salah as soon as I hear the adhan."
Action: Pray each salah as soon as you hear the adhan.
