Fact: How much food is wasted around the world each year?
Ages 5–8: Clean plate. Take only what you can eat this week. Draw a smiley each time your plate is clean.
Ages 9–12: Waste watch. Weigh or count the food your family throws away in a week. How could you save it?
Finish with: "I found that about ___ of food is wasted each year."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will help give food to someone in need."
Action: Help give food to someone in need.
