رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًۭا
Rrabbu l-mash'riqi wal-magh'ribi lā 'ilāha 'illā huwa fa-ttakhidh'hu wakīlan
(He is) Lord of the East and the West: there is no god but He: take Him therefore for (thy) Disposer of Affairs.

Allah rules every sunrise and sunset, none is worthy of worship but Him, so rely on Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where does the Sun come up in the morning? Where does it go down?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is Allah Lord of?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does it mean to trust Allah with my affairs?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muzzammil is surah 73. Find ayah 9. The key words rabbul-mashriqi wal-maghrib mean Lord of the east and the west, and wakil means trustee, one you rely on. Al-Wakil is one of Allah's names. The One who controls every sunrise can surely take care of us.
Fact: Why does the Sun rise in the east?
Ages 5–8: Sun watch. Mark where the Sun rises and sets from your home with stones or chalk.
Ages 9–12: Direction finder. Use the Sun at midday to find north, south, east and west.
Finish with: "I found that the Sun rises in the east because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I'm worried, I will do my best and then trust Allah."
Action: This week, when you're worried, do your best and then trust Allah.
