4-I guide
Keep your Lord's name on your tongue and give yourself to Him with all your heart.
Start with bismillah.
Use a magnifying glass to focus sunlight into a small bright spot (with an adult). Ask: "What happens when light is focused?"
Watch the minutephysics video How lasers work (in theory). (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things are we told?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I give my whole heart to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muzzammil is surah 73. Find ayah 8. The key words wa tabattal ilayhi tabtila mean devote yourself to Him completely. Ordinary light spreads out, but a laser beam stays focused. A devoted heart is like that: focused on Allah.
Fact: What makes laser light different from torch light?
Ages 5–8: Focus game. Look at a distant object through a paper tube. Does it help you focus?
Ages 9–12: Focused time. Do one task for ten minutes with no distractions. How much did you get done?
Finish with: "I found that laser light is different because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will put away all distractions before I pray."
Action: Put away all distractions before you pray.
Never look at the Sun through a magnifying glass, and only use it with an adult.
