4-I guide
Stand in prayer during the night, except for a little of it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Which animals are wide awake when we are asleep?"
Watch the Nat Geo Animals video Which Animals Have Night Vision?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When is the Prophet told to stand?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is night a special time to pray?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muzzammil is surah 73. Find ayah 2. The key words qumil-layla illa qalila mean stand at night, except a little. The Prophet was told to spend part of the night in prayer. Night is quiet and calm, a special time to talk to Allah.
Fact: How do nocturnal animals see in the dark?
Ages 5–8: Night animals. Draw three animals that are awake at night.
Ages 9–12: Eye shine. Find out why some animals' eyes glow in torchlight.
Finish with: "I found that night animals see in the dark because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make a short dua before I sleep each night."
Action: Make a short dua before you sleep each night.
