4-I guide
They said our Lord's majesty is high above all, and He has taken no wife and no child.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What keeps the planets going around the Sun without flying away?"
Watch the Dr. Binocs video Gravity.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they say about their Lord?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does it mean that Allah needs no one?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jinn is surah 72. Find ayah 3. The key words ta'ala jaddu rabbina mean exalted is the majesty of our Lord. The jinn declared that Allah has no wife and no child. He is One, and He needs no one, while everything needs Him.
Fact: What force keeps the planets moving around the Sun?
Ages 5–8: String orbit. Swing a soft ball on a string in a circle (outside, with an adult). What happens if you let go?
Ages 9–12: Planet facts. List the planets in order and how long each takes to go around the Sun.
Finish with: "I found that planets stay in orbit because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas."
Action: Learn the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas.
Only swing the ball outside, away from people.
