قَالَ نُوحٌۭ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا
Qāla nūḥun rrabbi 'innahum' ʻaṣaw'nī wa-ttabaʻū man llam' yazid'hu māluhu wawaladuhu 'illā khassāran
Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss.

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can money buy happiness?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who did the people follow?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people follow the rich and powerful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 21. The key word khasara means loss. The people followed rich leaders instead of Nuh, but riches without faith only led to loss. Real happiness comes from Allah, not from things.
Fact: What do scientists say makes people truly happy?
Ages 5–8: Happy list. Draw five things that make you happy. How many cost money?
Ages 9–12: Role models. Choose one person you admire for their goodness, not their money. Why?
Finish with: "I found that people are happiest when ___."
Talk together:
