4-I guide
Allah made you grow from the earth, like plants.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens under the soil when a bean starts to grow?"
Watch the GPhase bean time-lapse with a soil cross-section. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are we compared to?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How are people like plants?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 17. The key words anbatakum minal-ardi nabata mean He made you grow from the earth like a plant. Adam was made from earth, and our food comes from the soil. We grow day by day, like a sprouting seed.
Fact: What part of a seed comes out first? The root or the shoot?
Ages 5–8: Bean in a jar. Put a bean against the side of a jar with wet paper. Watch the root and shoot appear.
Ages 9–12: Food from soil. List ten foods you ate today. Which grew from the earth?
Finish with: "I found that the ___ comes out of the seed first."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will plant a seed and care for it."
Action: Plant a seed and care for it.
