He said: ask your Lord for forgiveness, for He is always ready to forgive.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a cut on your knee after a few days?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video How Do Cuts Heal?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Nuh tell them to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can Allah forgive everything?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 10. The key words istaghfiru rabbakum mean ask your Lord's forgiveness, and ghaffar means the One who forgives again and again. Our bodies heal cuts, and trees heal their bark. Allah heals our hearts when we turn back to Him.
Fact: What does a scab do?
Ages 5–8: Healing tree. Look for a tree with a healed scar on its bark.
Ages 9–12: Regrowing. Find animals that can regrow a lost part, like starfish.
Finish with: "I found that a scab ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say astaghfirullah after each salah."
Action: Say astaghfirullah after each salah.
