4-I guide
He spoke to them publicly, and he also spoke to them quietly in private.
Start with bismillah.
Say something loudly, then whisper it. Ask: "When is each one better?"
Watch the Dr. Binocs video What is Sound?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two ways did Nuh speak?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why might a quiet word work better?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 9. The key words a'lantu and asrartu mean I spoke publicly and I spoke privately. Some people listen better in a group, others when spoken to gently alone. A bell can ring loud or soft.
Fact: How do we measure how loud a sound is?
Ages 5–8: Loud and soft. Tap a pot loudly and softly. How does each make you feel?
Ages 9–12: Decibel chart. Find the decibels of a whisper, talking and a busy road.
Finish with: "I found that a whisper is about ___ decibels."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, if I need to correct someone, I will do it quietly and kindly."
Action: Correct others quietly and kindly.
