4-I guide
People were created impatient.
Start with bismillah.
Turn over a sand timer and wait for it to empty. Ask: "Was it hard to wait?"
Watch the Hey Nana video Why Is Waiting So Hard?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How were people created?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I become more patient?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'arij is surah 70. Find ayah 19. The key word halu'a means anxious and impatient. Allah knows we find waiting hard. The next ayat show how, and then who is different.
Fact: What part of the brain helps us wait and control ourselves?
Ages 5–8: Waiting game. Wait for a sand timer before eating a snack. How did you keep busy?
Ages 9–12: Waiting tricks. List three tricks that make waiting easier.
Finish with: "I found that the part of the brain that helps us wait is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say subhanAllah while I wait instead of complaining."
Action: Say subhanAllah while you wait instead of complaining.
