أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا ضُحًۭى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
'Awa'amina 'ah'lu l-qurā 'an ya''tiyahum ba''sunā ḍuḥan wahum' yal'ʻabūna
Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)?

Or did they feel safe that it would not come to them in daylight while they were busy playing?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do we remember Allah while having fun?"
Put on Omar Hisham Al-Arabi's Al-A'raf from Listen Quran With Me and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When else might it come?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can we remember Allah during fun?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 98. People busy with fun forgot Allah. Fun is fine, but we remember Allah during it too, saying bismillah and alhamdulillah.
Fact: The dhikr 'subhanallah wa bihamdihi', easy to say while busy.
Ages 5–8: Fun dhikr. Say subhanallah during a game.
Ages 9–12: Balance. Write how to enjoy fun and remember Allah.
Finish with: "Subhanallah wa ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say a dhikr while playing."
Action: Say a dhikr while playing.
