أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا بَيَٰتًۭا وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ

Did the people of the towns feel safe that Allah's punishment would not come to them at night while they were asleep?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do we remember Allah before we sleep?"
Begin Muhammad Al-Luhaidan's Al-A'raf on Quran Caption and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When might it come?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why shouldn't people feel too safe while doing wrong?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 97. People doing wrong felt safe sleeping. The ayah reminds us that nothing is hidden from Allah. Believers sleep in peace by remembering Allah before bed.
Fact: The sunnah of reciting Ayat al-Kursi before sleep for protection.
Ages 5–8: Bedtime dua. Recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleep.
Ages 9–12: Safe sleep. Write how remembering Allah brings safe sleep.
Finish with: "Before sleeping we recite Ayat al-___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will recite Ayat al-Kursi before bed."
Action: Recite Ayat al-Kursi before bed.
