وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ
Wa man' khaffat' mawāzīnuhu fa'ūlā'ika -lladhīna khassirū 'anfussahum bimā kānū bi'āyātinā yaẓ'limūna
Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs.

Those whose scales are light have lost their own selves, because they kept treating Allah's signs unfairly.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to lose yourself?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Raad Al-Kurdi reciting Al-A'raf, shared by Mohamad Fahmi.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why are their scales light?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can ignoring Allah's signs make a scale light?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 9. This ayah mentions, in one calm line, those whose good deeds are too few. The real loss is losing yourself. We can make our scales heavier every day.
Fact: A deed that the Qur'an says Allah multiplies: charity (Al-Baqarah 2:261).
Ages 5–8: Add weight. Do one small good deed now.
Ages 9–12: Real loss. Write what 'losing yourself' means.
Finish with: "Light scales come from treating Allah's ___ unfairly."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one extra good deed each day."
Action: Do one extra good deed each day.
