فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
Fa'anjay'nāhu wa'ah'lahu 'illā (i)m'ra'atahu kānat' mina l-ghābirīna
But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind.

Allah saved Lut and his family, except his wife, who was among those who stayed behind.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can family ties alone save someone?"
الشيخ ماهر بن حمد المعيقلي has the whole of Al-A'raf by Maher Al-Muaiqly. Play just the first stretch.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who was not saved?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why wasn't Lut's wife saved?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 83. Lut's wife sided with the wrongdoers, so she wasn't saved. Each person is responsible for their own faith, even in a prophet's family.
Fact: At-Tahrim 66:10 mentions the wives of Nuh and Lut.
Ages 5–8: My own faith. Talk about how each person chooses their own faith.
Ages 9–12: Responsibility. Write why family ties alone don't save.
Finish with: "Each person is responsible for their own ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do my own worship sincerely."
Action: Do your own worship sincerely.
