وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَخْرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌۭ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
Wa mā kāna jawāba qaw'mihī 'illā 'an qālū 'akh'rijūhum mmin qar'yatikum' . 'innahum' 'unāssun yataṭahharūna
And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

Their only answer was, 'Drive them out of your town; they are people who want to keep themselves pure.'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why would people want to get rid of someone good?"
Here is the reciter on TRUST ALLAH of ayat 73–84. Take turns pausing it and saying one thing you noticed.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why did they want Lut out?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does goodness sometimes upset wrongdoers?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 82. Lut's people wanted to drive him out because he was pure. Sometimes doing right makes wrongdoers uncomfortable. Believers stay good anyway.
Fact: Find At-Tawbah 9:108: Allah loves those who purify themselves.
Ages 5–8: Stay good. Do the right thing even if others don't.
Ages 9–12: Purity. Write what it means to keep yourself pure.
Finish with: "Allah loves those who ___ themselves."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do right even if others don't."
Action: Do right even if others don't.
