Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What would you do if Allah gave you a special animal as a sign?"

Play the short Al-A'raf clip of ayat 73–84 from Learn quran.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What was the sign?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why was harming the camel so serious?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 73. Thamud asked for a miracle, and Allah sent a special she-camel. Salih told them to let her graze and not harm her. The camel was a test of obedience.

Fact: Where Thamud lived? Al-Hijr, also called Mada'in Salih, in northern Arabia.

Ages 5–8: Kind to animals. Talk about how to treat animals kindly.

Ages 9–12: The test. Write why the camel was a test.

Finish with: "Thamud lived at al-___."

Talk together:

• What was the sign?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why not harm her?
• How can you be kind to animals?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will be kind to an animal."
