وَٱتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًۭا جَسَدًۭا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌ ۚ أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلًا ۘ ٱتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ
How to read it
Wa -ttakhadha qaw'mu mūssā min[m] baʻ'dihī min' ḥuliyyihim' ʻij'lan jassadan llahu khūārun . 'alam' yaraw' 'annahu lā yukallimuhum' walā yah'dīhim' sabīlan (i)ttakhadhūhu wakānū ẓālimīna
The people of Moses made, in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of calf, (for worship): it seemed to low: did they not see that it could neither speak to them, nor show them the way? They took it for worship and they did wrong.
