قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُلْقِينَ
Qālū yāmūssā 'immā 'an tul'qiya wa'immā 'an nnakūna naḥ'nu l-mul'qīna
They said: "O Moses! wilt thou throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?"

The sorcerers said, 'O Musa, will you throw first, or shall we be the ones to throw?'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you act before a big challenge?"
Yasser Al-Dosari recites Al-A'raf on Quran English Translation. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the sorcerers ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why were they confident?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 115. The sorcerers were confident in their tricks. They politely offered Musa the choice of going first.
Fact: In Ta-Ha 20:65, the same question is asked.
Ages 5–8: Polite challenge. Practise politely offering someone the first turn.
Ages 9–12: Confidence. Write about true and false confidence.
Finish with: "The sorcerers offered Musa the first ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be polite in games and challenges."
Action: Be polite in games and challenges.
