4-I guide
Thamud were destroyed by a blast too great for them to bear.
Start with bismillah.
Count the seconds between a lightning flash and its thunder (or imagine a storm). Ask: "Why do we see the flash first?"
Watch the Pants Bear video What Causes Thunder and Lightning?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How were Thamud destroyed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How much power is inside one bolt of lightning?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Haqqah is surah 69. Find ayah 5. The key word at-taghiyah means the overwhelming one: a blast that went beyond all limits. Thunder and lightning show us a tiny part of the power Allah placed in nature. No one, however strong, can stand against Allah's command.
Fact: How hot is a bolt of lightning compared to the surface of the Sun?
Ages 5–8: Flash and boom. Clap after a torch flash to show how thunder comes after lightning.
Ages 9–12: Storm distance. Learn how to count seconds between flash and thunder to tell how far away a storm is.
Finish with: "I found that lightning is about ___ times hotter than the Sun's surface."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will remember Allah when I see or hear strong weather."
Action: Remember Allah when you see or hear strong weather.
