They glorified their Lord and admitted that they had been doing wrong.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's the bravest thing to say after a mistake?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it good to admit our mistakes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qalam is surah 68. Find ayah 29. The key words inna kunna zalimin mean we were wrongdoers. At last they glorified Allah and admitted their mistake. That's the first step back to Allah. A rainbow often comes after a storm.
Fact: What makes a rainbow appear after rain?
Ages 5–8: Owning up. Act out a small mistake and practise saying "That was my fault, I'm sorry."
Ages 9–12: Rainbow science. Make a rainbow with a glass of water and sunlight.
Finish with: "I found that rainbows appear because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will own up quickly when I make a mistake."
Action: Own up quickly when you make a mistake.
