For those who reject their Lord there is the punishment of Hell, a terrible place to end up.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Does your family have a plan for getting out safely if there's a fire?"
Watch the NFPA Kids video Making a Home Fire Escape Plan.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is this warning for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I choose the right path now?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mulk is surah 67. Find ayah 6. The key words bi'sal-masir mean a wretched destination. Allah tells us clearly where the wrong path leads, so we can choose the right one. A family fire plan shows safe ways out; the Quran shows us the way to safety with Allah.
Fact: What are the steps of a home fire escape plan?
Ages 5–8: Way out map. Draw your home and mark two ways out of each room.
Ages 9–12: Path chart. Write three choices that lead towards Allah and three that lead away.
Finish with: "I found that a fire plan needs ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make a fire escape plan with my family."
Action: Make a fire escape plan with your family.
