فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةًۭ سِيٓـَٔتْ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ
Falammā ra'aw'hu zul'fatan sī'at' wujūhu -lladhīna kafarū waqīla hādhā -lladhī kuntum bihī taddaʻūna
At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!"

When they see it close, the deniers' faces will darken, and they'll be told: this is what you kept asking for.
Start with bismillah.
Make a happy face, a worried face and a surprised face. Ask: "How do faces show feelings?"
Watch the Mooseclumps video Facial Expressions. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happens to their faces?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be happy, not sad, when that Day comes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mulk is surah 67. Find ayah 27. The key words si'at wujuh mean faces darkened with grief. Those who mocked and asked "when?" will see it and wish they had prepared. Our faces show what we feel inside.
Fact: How many muscles are in the human face?
Ages 5–8: Face cards. Draw faces showing five feelings and play a guessing game.
Ages 9–12: Mirror study. Watch your face in a mirror as you change feelings. Which muscles move?
Finish with: "I found that the face has about ___ muscles."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will smile at everyone I meet."
Action: Smile at everyone you meet.
