Start with bismillah.

Watch a bird outside. Ask: "How does it stay up without falling?"

Watch the Dr. Binocs video How Birds Fly?

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who holds the birds up?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Allah design birds for flying?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mulk is surah 67. Find ayah 19. The key words saffatin wa yaqbidna mean spreading their wings and folding them. Birds have hollow bones, strong muscles and shaped wings. Behind all these designs is Ar-Rahman, who holds them in the sky.

Fact: Why are birds' bones hollow?

Ages 5–8: Paper wings. Make paper wings and test which shape glides best.

Ages 9–12: Flight facts. Compare how eagles soar and how hummingbirds hover.

Finish with: "I found that birds' bones are hollow because ___."

Talk together:

• What amazes you about birds?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why does the ayah use the name Ar-Rahman here?
• How does Allah hold us up when things are hard?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will watch birds and say subhanAllah."

• Test your paper wings.
• Share your flight facts.
• Next time: the next ayah (67:20) asks who can help us besides Ar-Rahman. Explore it together!

Action: Watch birds and say subhanAllah.
