يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ
Yurīdūna liyuṭ'fi'ū nūra -llahi bi'af'wāhihim' wa-llahu mutimmu nūrihī walaw' kariha l-kāfirūna
Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

They want to put out Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will complete His light even if the disbelievers hate it.
Start with bismillah.
Blow out a candle (with an adult). Ask: "Could anyone ever blow out the Sun?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they try to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can no one put out Allah's light?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saff is surah 61. Find ayah 8. The key words li-yutfi'u nurallahi bi-afwahihim mean to put out Allah's light with their mouths. A candle can be blown out, but trying to blow out the Sun would be silly. Allah's guidance is like that: it will always shine.
Fact: How hot is the centre of the Sun?
Ages 5–8: Candle and Sun. Draw a small candle and a huge Sun side by side.
Ages 9–12: Sun facts. Find out how long the Sun has been shining.
Finish with: "I found that the Sun's centre is about ___ degrees."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share one good thing about Islam with someone."
Action: Share one good thing about Islam with someone.
