يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
Yūliju -llay'la fī nnahāri wayūliju nnahāra fī -llay'li . wahuwa ʻalīmun[m] bidhāti ṣṣudūri
He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts.

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why are days longer in summer and shorter in winter?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah merge into each other?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does night slowly become day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hadid is surah 57. Find ayah 6. The key words yuliju al-layla fin-nahar mean He merges night into day. Through the year, days grow longer and shorter little by little, without anyone noticing a jump. Allah, who controls day and night, also knows what is hidden in every heart.
Fact: What are the longest and shortest days of the year called?
Ages 5–8: Light diary. Write down the time it gets dark each evening for a week.
Ages 9–12: Sunrise times. Compare sunrise times in summer and winter for your town.
Finish with: "I found that the longest day is called ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will remember Allah at sunrise and sunset."
Action: Remember Allah at sunrise and sunset.
